Summary: ATHLETICS
From basketball to crew and the ice rink to the golf course, we offer 21 interscholastic sports and 70 teams where you can discover a new opportunity, condition your mind and body, or advance your existing athletic talents. No matter your interest, skill level, or competitive aspirations, your Big Red team will challenge and inspire you.
From the time-honored traditions of House Olympics, to the rivalry of Hill Day and athletic competition with schools throughout the northeast United States, Big Red lives in all of us. Whether you're in the stands or on the field, you're a part of what makes us great - a leader, a learner, and a lifelong Lawrentian. There's a place for everyone in Big Red athletics.
Big Red athletics develops leadership, sportsmanship, and a passionate pursuit of excellence that transcends the playing field. Building on our legacy of achievement in the Mid-Atlantic Prep League, 100% of our students participate in our athletic offerings.
PERFORMING ARTS
Lawrenceville offers classroom and co-curricular opportunities in the Visual and Performing Arts.
Performing Arts
Students are challenged to apply theory they learn in the classroom to the practice of art in performance. They find creative solutions to real-life problems, develop sophisticated communication skills in order to convey their ideas effectively, and work in close collaboration with their peers to achieve greatness in their discipline, connection to their community, and self-discovery to find their path into adulthood.
Visual Arts
Visual Arts students will be able to look critically at art in any form and be able to answer the essential question: why do things look the way they do? Through practical studio work, they will learn the skills essential to realizing a vision in disciplines as varied as filmmaking, 3-D design and fabrication, and observation-based drawing.
