Student Life
At Chatham Hall, there is no shortage of fun things to do on a daily basis! You might meet up for movie night or to tie-dye some clothes. Maybe you'll grill out with friends or whip up a gourmet meal in the student kitchen. Seasonal activities are always a huge hit, so expect to carve pumpkins, build gingerbread houses, and hunt for Easter eggs! Off campus, there’s even more to do. The School regularly offers recreational trips such as skiing at Wintergreen Resort, swimming and boating at Smith Mountain Lake, taking in the cuisine of a great restaurant in Greensboro, and bowling or laser tag in Lynchburg.

Summary: At Chatham Hall, you'll actively participate in the college preparation process. We begin with conversations during the first and second years as you begin to think about the "why" of college, and then progress to asking what you expect from the college experience. This process of guided introspection helps you make appropriate curricular choices while building a variety of life skills. With the support of the dean of college counseling, advisors, faculty, and parents, as a junior you'll begin to ask where this growth will take place as you begin to build your college lists and embark on the college selection process as a senior.

AGES: 12-16
COST: $2,000

This intensive four-day clinic is designed for intermediate and advanced riders looking to improve their skills in the show ring. Riders who attend this camp should be confidently jumping 2 foot courses or higher regularly. While campers are not required to have prior show experience, they should be interested in gaining an introduction to the USEF and collegiate show format. For those already actively competing, the clinic will allow them to hone their skills in their current division and prepare them for competitions in other styles.
Riders will participate in 2-3 mounted lessons per day from our experienced instructors, focusing on show preparedness and performance. At the end of the four-day residential program, riders will participate in a mock show with a carded USEF judge as well as a roundtable judge’s clinic. This camp also includes a workshop with a nationally recognized Equine Sports Psychologist.
