For over 80 years, Buxton has been educating students in the progressive tradition. Experienced faculty nurture and challenge students in all aspects of their intellectual, artistic, and social lives. Discussion-based classes are the norm; advanced classes are offered in all academic areas; the arts program is varied and full. Academic support and ESL are available. Central to the school experience are Work Program and the All-School Trip, an on-the-road urban study of a domestic or international city. The lovely 150-acre campus overlooks historic Williamstown. Williams College and the Clark Art Institute, exceptional resources, are right next door.
