Walnut Hill School for the Arts is an international leader in arts education. In conjunction with intensive arts training in dance, creative writing, music, theater, and visual art, Walnut Hill offers a comprehensive and rigorous academic curriculum in all college-preparatory subjects. The joint music program with New England Conservatory is the only of its kind in the United States. Located 17 miles west of Boston, the beautiful 30-acre Walnut Hill campus is in a residential neighborhood in Natick, Massachusetts. Students receive instruction from devoted faculty and share the classroom with other students who are passionate and committed to their studies, both academic and artistic. Graduates of Walnut Hill attend the top universities, colleges, conservatories, and art schools in the country. Alumni are currently performing on Broadway, in film and television, and in symphonies, chamber music ensembles, ballet, and modern dance companies around the world. Walnut Hill also offers intensive summer study in dance, youth dance, theater, opera, and writing, and afternoon and weekend community youth arts instruction.

Summer Dance

Summer Dance at Walnut Hill is a ballet-based program for students ages 12-17 who wish to immerse themselves in the study of dance. Daily classes include ballet technique, pointe, modern, jazz, hydroconditioning, partnering, flamenco, and body conditioning. The session culminates in a performance.

Summer Theater

The Summer Theater program at Walnut Hill provides students with a summer stock experience. Students participate in classes in acting, voice, and dance, as well as producing six shows in five weeks in our on-campus theater. All students are cast in three of the six shows: a play and two musicals.
