Summary: The Olmstead Student Union, which opened in 2004, is the hub of actvity on the Pomfret School campus. The student union houses The Tuck Shop, which is a student and faculty cafe offering a variety of food, beverages, and snacks in a relaxed atmosphere, the school store, radio station (WBVC 91.1 FM), student publications office, and student activities office. On weekends, there are a variety of options for the students on campus including trips to Boston MA and Providence RI, mall trips, movie trips, shuttles to the local Target and Walmart shopping areas, as well as shuttles to the local supermarkets. Special events are also held throughout the year, such as carnivals, bands, and dances.
